THE CHURCH AT LAODICEA

The Church of Laodicea is the seventh Church written to in Revelation chapter 3 and is described by the seventh Kingdom of Heaven parable in Matthew 13. They are one and the same. The parable was given by our Lord as follows - -

Matthew 14
47 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,
48 "which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw
the bad away.
49 "So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just,
50 "and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

This Church is doing the cleanup operation of which the other six Churches did not do. This Church is in the business of gathering some of every kind. How is it doing this? Primarily, this Church will do a final sweep of all potential Believers and allure them through the avenue of MATERIALISM. This Church is modifying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to "Candy-Coat" it and make it appealing to all. In other words, if you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, then you can have what you want - - - Now there's a Gospel that everyone will want - - - If that doesn't real in the fish, then nothing will - - -

14 "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, "These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:

15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

17 Because you say, "I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--

18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.""'
